To glorify God by proclaiming the excellencies of Christ so that all people may know the joy of salvation in Him.

"But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God's own possession, that you may proclaim the Excellencies of Him who called you out of his darkness into His marvelous light." (1 Peter 2:9)

VISION STATEMENT

                      To be a Spirit filled church passionate in our pursuit of knowing and enjoying Christ's glorious presense and
                      making His presense known to others by ministering to the whole person in a way that makes people glad
                      worshippers of the Lord Jesus Christ.

A Word From the the Pastor

Welcome to Middlebury Baptist Church...a growing fellowship of people who desire to know Christ and His will for their lives, as well as to encourage others in their spiritual walk. Our focus is not the pursuit of a religious experience, but the pursuit of a meaningful relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

About the Pastor

Pastor John M Stephen has a Master of Divinity degree from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (Louisville, KY) and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Sacred Heart University (Fairfield, CT). Pastor John came to Middlebury Baptist Church in July 1999 with his wife, Cheryl. John and Cheryl are life-long residents of Connecticut.
